Sri Mulyani Lowers Export Duty Rates for Palm Kernel Shells
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani lowered the export duty rate for palm kernel shells in the form of flakes and powder with particle sizes above 50 mesh to a range of US$ 3 to US$ 13 per metric ton.
This policy is contained in the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 1/PMK.010/22 concerning the Third Amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Finance Number 13/PMK.010/2017 concerning Stipulation of Exported Goods Subject to Export Duties and Export Duty Tariffs. "That in order to encourage economic potential and export market opportunities for palm oil-based industrial commodities in order to increase the country's foreign exchange, it is necessary to make adjustments to the export duty rate for palm kernel shells," the policy stated, quoted on Sunday (16/1). Export duty rates for palm kernel shells decreased in all columns compared to PMK Number 166/PMK/010/2020 concerning the Second Amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Finance Number 13/PMK.010/2017 concerning Stipulation of Exported Goods Subject to Export Duties and Export Duty Tariffs. Starting from column 1 down from US$ 7 to US$ 3 per metric ton (MT). The column 2 export duty rate decreased from US$ 10 to US$ 3 per MT, while the column 3 export duty rate decreased from US$ 11 to US$ 4 per MT, and the column 4 export duty rate decreased from US$ 13 to US$ 5 per MT
