Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food Supports Cooking Oil Policy Price of IDR 14,000 per Liter

After the cooking oil policy was priced at Rp. 14,000 per liter
starting on January 19, 2021, a number of national cooking oil producers gave their support for the regulation. Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food Investor Relations Pinta S Chandra explained that his party would support the government's policy in an effort to stabilize prices through distribution of cooking oil in accordance with the prices set by the government. "From November 2021 to January 2022, the company has distributed cooking oil according to the price set by the Government as much as 700,000 liters and will continue to participate in the cooking oil price stabilization program at Rp. 14,000 per liter," he said Monday (1/24/2022). According to him, this effort is a form of support for the government's program to stabilize cooking oil prices in the market. His party has collaborated with national retailers, so that packaged cooking oil is priced at Rp. 14,000 per liter, much cheaper than the current market price of Rp. 19,000–20,000 per liter. Meanwhile, Corporate Affairs Director of Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food Harry Hanawi explained that the company continues to coordinate with relevant stakeholders to distribute affordable cooking oil to the public.
