Simulation of Students Entering the World of Work
Support from the business world and industry for the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program came from the Indonesian Economic Bachelors Association (ISEI) Jakarta.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) was carried out by ISEI Jakarta with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), and the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) in Jakarta, Monday (24/1/2022). The event was continued with a webinar entitled "Improving the Quality of Human Resources through Transformation of Independent Higher Education Learning Independent Campus and Collaboration between the Business World and the Industrial World". Head of ISEI Jakarta Inarno Djajadi said that the MoU, which is a collaboration of the four institutions, is a form of support for MBKM's transformation and strategic activities. Business and industry circles welcome programs that equip students with experience and competencies that will be in line with the needs of the world of work and the dynamics of the industrial revolution 4.0. With the MoU, the four parties will provide internships for final year students. In addition, they will also support the improvement of the quality of the higher education tridharma through several activities, such as teaching practices, lectures in industry, and updating the curriculum according to existing needs. Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Arsjad Rasjid said this MoU is a real support for the business and industry world for the MBKM program to increase human resource capacity, conduct training, conversion internships, and research.
