Oversee Natural Resource Management
The public is asked to oversee government policies related to the Job Creation Act which has been declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court.
The management of natural resources regulated in this law also needs to be considered. The Constitutional Court's decision Number 91/PUU-XVIII/2020 stated that the Job Creation Law (UUCK) was formally flawed on November 25, 2021. The Court ordered the government and the DPR to revise the UUCK within two years. During this period, the Constitutional Court stated that all strategic actions or policies with broad impacts must be suspended. In addition, the issuance of new implementing regulations related to UUCK is not justified. The Manager of Legal and Policy Studies of the Indonesian Forum for the Environment (Walhi) Satrio Manggala said on Monday (24/1/2022) that state officials were not fully compliant and obedient to the Constitutional Court's decision. This can be seen from the issuance of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Socialization of UUCK several days after the Constitutional Court's decision was issued. He regretted the actions of state officials. These various policies are considered not to respect the decision of the Constitutional Court. On the other hand, non-compliance with the Constitutional Court's decision is feared to have an impact on the management of natural resources (SDA).
