Berau District Cocoa is one of the commodities in the development of superior products in rural areas (Prukades) since 2018. It was initiated by the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (PDTT). Berau Regency Government cooperates with PT Berau Coal as a government partner in mentoring and fostering, and is supported by the Ministry of Villages and PDTT. "This cocoa is a leading commodity and we want to continue to promote and provide added value with the downstream industry is also in Berau," he said.
